The San Diego Food Bank delivers commodities once each month to provide supplemental food for the needy at no cost. On the first Friday of every month, food is distributed to 300 families to provide for over 1,000 persons. Fresh produce is also available daily at no cost and is distributed when received. The Food Bank stresses nutrition and provides excellent quality fruit and vegetables. The Coalition is proud to be a part of the Food Bank’s efforts to feed the hungry and all who are homeless and with limited or no incomes. Food is also purchased at low cost to stock our pantry for those who need food daily. This resource is vital for our provided services.

The Mission Village Christian Fellowship Church is a longtime supporter of the Coalition. Not only do they make monetary donations twice a year, they also contribute by participating in our annual Christmas parties for the children at the San Diego Community Concourse. San Diego Youth in Action presents dramatic musical interpretations with religious themes. The white-face mimes also volunteer their time to wrap gifts for the children and help prepare for the party. The Mission Village Christian Fellowship Band is always present at the annual parties. We are lucky to count the Mission Village Christian Fellowship Church as one of our loyal friends.

Heart to Heart International has provided thousands of dollars worth of product used for our Christmas party. Their deliveries throughout the year are a welcome event as pallets of product are unloaded from their trucks. Christmas wrappings and supplies plus other day-to-day items are delivered free of charge. We thank Heart to Heart for their generous support.
